Abstract

Front-line demonstration at farmers fields were conducted in 10 locations for the management of podborer complex in redgram (pigeon pea) through IPM module with the ultimate aim to restrict the pest population below ETL during three consecutive years. Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner), Melanogromyze obtusa (Mall) and Maruca vitrata (Fabricius) (=Maruca testulalis (Geyer)) incidence appeared in the field from flowering to pod maturity stage. Results of IPM module indicated that the highest benefit-cost ratio 3.22, 3.29 and 4.22 during 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 respectively as compared to sole chemical application with net Benefit-cost ratio 2.16, 2.47 and 2.82 respectively.
