Abstract

Organic composite materials are highly attractive for light-emitting applications as they not only inherit the advantage of each component but also produce additional functionalities through intercomponent interactions. This review highlights the understanding and manipulating of excited states in luminescent organic composite materials. Special emphasis is put on gaining insight into the relationship between light-emitting properties and excited states towards higher tiers of design and applications of luminescent organic composite materials.
