Abstract

The interfacial capacitance of the metal-solution interface, at a given applied potential, often depends strongly on the nature of the exposed crystal face. Consequently, capacitance measurements on a polycrystalline electrode may exhibit frequency dispersion. We describe a simple numerical method to demonstrate the existence of this effect.
