Abstract

ESR experiments are carried out between 10-300 K on C 8AsF 5 compounds. Effects of sample size on ESR lineshape are investigated at frequencies v = 4 and 9GHz. The data are analyzed in terms of the Dyson theory considering the microwave absorption through the sample faces parallel to the c-axis. From the line asymmetry parameter measured on thin samples, we determine the c-axis conductivity σ c at v = 4 and 9GHz. The results clearly indicate that σ c increases with the frequency and that the temperature dependence σ c( T) obtained from d.c. and a.c. measurements are significantly different.
