Abstract

This article describes a bilingual web-based learning resource devoted to French artworks at the Saint Louis Art Museum. The website is designed to enable high school and college language educators to incorporate these artworks into their curriculum. It includes information about each work, the historical context, the artistic genre, and the artist, as well as questions for discussion and suggested activities for the classroom or a museum visit. The site has parallel versions in English and French, and downloadable Educator’s Guides are provided in both languages. The article includes assessments from language teachers and their suggestions for using the website.
