Pharmacy practice within health systems is no longer able to function effectively in its own silo. It now relies on other caregivers and stakeholders. Our nurse partners rely on us to provide information to them about safe medication use. Our administrators, the public, and legislators rely on us to reduce medication costs, especially as accountable care organizations expand.
