Abstract
In the years 2019-2024, a team from the University College of Teacher Education (KPH) Vienna/Lower Austria researched the sustainability of 15 modular training programs. The sustainability of in-service teacher training programs has only recently become the focus of attention in German-speaking countries. This project therefore aims to investigate the effectiveness and sustainability of modular training programs and to in-service training programs in terms of sustainability. This article examines the perspectives of leaders with regard to the sustainability of their modular training series in the categories of conditions for success, added value in practice and transfer. The survey was conducted using qualitative interviews with leaders, and the perspectives of speakers and participants were also recorded. The qualitative data was analysed using content-structuring qualitative content analysis according to Kuckartz (2018). The findings are incorporated into the development of further education formats.
