Abstract

In this work, (1 + α) order low-pass Elliptic filter is designed using nonlinear least square (NLS) optimization algorithm. NLS optimized filter coefficients have been obtained for α value ranging from 0.1 to 0.9. Sensitivity and stability analysis of the proposed filter has been done. The proposed Elliptic filter is also simulated using Simulink. The low-pass Elliptic filter for order 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8 have been simulated in SPICE using a fractional capacitor. Multiple input biquad (MIB) circuit has been used to verify the MATLAB results. MATLAB and SPICE results show good agreement. Montecarlo and noise analysis have also been done.
