Abstract

Dr. Susan H. Fox is Professor of Neurology, University of Toronto and Associate Director of the Movement Disorder clinic, Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network. She trained in Neurology in the UK and moved to Canada in 2003. She has >20 years’ experience in preclinical models of Parkinson’s disease and translational studies of novel pharmacological therapies for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorder such as dystonia. She has published over 150 peer reviewed papers, reviews and book chapters in the field and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences. Dr. Fox is Secretary of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS); an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and an elected member of the American Neurological Association. She is currently co-editor of the MDS website and a member of the MDS evidence based medicine committee on reviews of treatments for movement disorders. She was Fellowship director for the University of Toronto, Division of Neurology (2004–2013) and remains responsible for Fellowship and electives at the Movement Disorder Clinic.
