Abstract

Four fossil impressions of caddisfly cases were discovered during preliminary field investigations for possible fossil insects in the Ostrander Member of the Windrow Formation (Cretaceous) of south-central Minnesota. All 4 specimens were from the Cobb's Creek site (NE¼ sec. 4, T. 109 N; R. 30 W.; Brown Co.) which is located near the city of New Ulm, Minn. Prior to this discovery, no fossil insect remains belonging to this geologic time period had been described from Minnesota.
