Corn is a popular ingredient in facial skin care products. Corn contains thiamine, which can dry wounds and eliminate acne scars that appear as holes on the face or black spots. Corn starch is made into a gel mask with the gelling ingredient hidroxy prophyl methyl cellulose (HPMC). This research intends to establish if a gel mask manufactured from sweet corn starch (Zea mays saccharata) can meet the requirements of the physical quality test assessment results, as well as the stability requirements. The research approach is experimental, employing a sample gathering methodology known as purposive sampling. The evaluation of gel mask preparations includes evaluating the physical quality of the preparations, irritant testing on 10 participants, and drying time tests on the preparations. The evaluation of the preparations revealed that all gel mask formulations were semi-solid gels with a yellowish white color and a distinct corny smell. The results were homogeneous, with an average pH of 7.5–7.7, spreadability of 5–7 cm, and viscosity of 22133-67566. The preparation also exhibited stable stability at room temperature and did not irritate volunteers' skin. Therefore, both the stability requirements and the physical quality test assessment results are satisfied by the preparation.

AimsMy aim was to ensure at least 60% of clients in the Acute Day Unit have a ‘physical screening tool’ entry.BackgroundAs a GP starting training in psychiatry I am very aware of the importance of physical health and the overlap between physical health and mental health. It has been found that there is a 20 year mortality gap for men and 15 year mortality gap for women in people with mental health problems. Thorncroft described this as ‘the scandal of premature mortality’.Nice Guidelines state: ‘Reducing premature mortality by improving physical healthcare for people with severe mental illness remains an NHS England priority. Funding has been made available to ensure that at least 60% of people who have severe mental illness receive NICE-recommended physical assessments and follow up from 2018/19 onwards.’The Acute Day Unit seemed to be the ideal situation to try to address this problem as clients are with us for 6-8 weeks during which time their physical health as well as their mental health can be optimised.MethodI emailed the whole team to invite ideas and questions regarding the QI project and discussed it further at the MDT meeting. It was important at the start to get the whole team on board. Having discussed it we decided to put six blocks of thirty minute slots weekly into the timetable for physical assessments. These were to be booked in by the client's care coordinator. I also added a column onto our team spreadsheet to input whether or not the physical assessment had been done. Frequent encouragements and reminders were sent round the team of which clients still needed a physical assessment.ResultBefore the changes were made 25% of clients were having their physical assessments done. After the changes were made 63% of clients had their physical assessment done, three of the twenty seven clients having only started at the day unit that week.ConclusionHaving made a change to the system of scheduling six regular slots for physical assessments there has been a dramatic rise in the number of clients having their physical assessment done. As this change has been to the system and will be continued automatically on the team calendar the improvement has been more easily sustained. We are keen to keep improving on this change with an ideal level of over 75% of clients having a physical health assessment.

  • Asena Yalcin + 4 more

The aim of this paper was to investigate the relationship between the physical and subjective (observer) image quality metrics in digital chest radiography. Five digital radiography systems, four with indirect flat panel detector and one with storage phosphor-based computed radiography system, were used in the study. The physical image quality assessments were carried out using effective detective quantum efficiency (eDQE) metric and subjective performance of the digital radiography systems was evaluated in terms of inverse image quality figure (IQFinv ) derived from the contrast-detail (CD) diagrams using CDRAD 2.0 phantom and CDRAD phantom analyzer software. All measurements were performed for different tube voltages (70, 81, 90, 102, 110, and 125kVp) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) phantom thicknesses. An anthropomorphic chest phantom and visual grading analysis (VGA) technique based on European image quality criteria for chest radiography were used for clinical image quality evaluation. The Spearman correlation coefficients were calculated for the investigation of the correlation between physical image quality and clinical image quality. The results showed strong positive correlation between the physical and clinical image quality findings. The minimum correlation coefficient was 0.91 (p<0.011) for IQFinv vs VGA scores and 0.92 (p<0.009) for IeDQE vs VGA scores. Our results confirm that clinical image quality can be predicted with both physical assessments and contrast-detail detectability studies.

This study aims to determine and identify the effect of variations in the age of broiler eggs on the physical and microbiological quality of eggs as well as the state of hygiene and sanitation at the traditional market for selling eggs in Kupang City (Pasar Kasih-Naikoten 1, Pasar Oeba, Oebobo Market, Oesapa Market, and Pasar Oesapa). Penfui). The samples used in this study were 68 respondents and 68 samples of broiler eggs. Data were analyzed descriptively. Variations in egg age are divided into producers and distributors. Physical quality parameters observed were egg weight, egg yolk index, egg white index, Haugh Unit, and pH. The microbiological quality parameter observed was the amount of microbial contamination in eggs. The results of the physical and microbiological quality test of eggs from producers have a better value than distributors because the age of eggs from producers is younger than distributors. The effect of variations in egg age on physical and microbiological quality showed that the longer the age of the eggs, the egg weight, egg white index, yolk index and Haugh Unit decreased. Meanwhile, the longer the age of the eggs, the pH and the amount of microbial contamination will increase. Of the five markets where samples were taken, eggs in the Oebobo Market that came from producers had a shorter egg age variation so that the results of the physical quality test (meets all 6 parameters) and microbiological (1.8x104 cfu/gr) were the best. Meanwhile, hygiene and sanitation factors are more at risk of affecting the microbiological quality of eggs. The hygiene and sanitation of broiler eggs in the Kupang City Traditional Market is quite low due to the lack of information on handling good hygiene and sanitation for broiler egg traders.

Significance of yeasts in food technology as well as in human nutrition, as alternative sources of protein to cover the demands in a world of low agricultural production and rapidly increasing population, makes the production of food grade yeasts important. The comparative study on the growth rate and physicochemical properties of yeast was carried out using corn and wheat flour substrates. 50 g of wheat and corn flour each was weighed into a calibrated culture plastic rubber. 120 ml of distilled water was added with 5 ml of lemon juice. The sample was stirred and kept under room temperature at 26°C. The growth of the yeast were observed every three days for two weeks and recorded in millimetre. Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) culture grown using corn flour gave a mean growth of 12.18±0.38 for the first week and 15.24±1.21 for the second week. On the other hand, the growth of yeast produced from wheat flour gave 8.29±0.35 and 10.46±1.23 for first and second week respectively. The result also showed that yeast produced from corn flour grew rapidly than the wheat flour. The acid value of yeast produced from corn flour was 17.95 mgKOH/g, saponification value of 9.5 mgKOH/g, ester value of 164.37 mgKOH/g, iodine value of 87.63 gI2/100g, peroxide value of 16.0 mEq/kg, free fatty-acid of 9.02%, refractive index of 1.50, specific gravity of 0.902, density of 5 g/cm3 and pH of 5, while yeast produced from wheat flour had an acid value of 14.3 mgKOH/g, saponification value of 5.3 mgKOH/g, ester value of 152.1 mgKOH/g, iodine value of 66.0 gI2/100g, peroxide value of 10.1 mEq/kg, free fatty-acid of 5.2%, refractive index of 0.6, specific gravity of 0.561, density of 3.2 g/cm3 and pH of 5. The result showed that the physico-chemical properties of yeast produced from corn flour were higher than that produced from wheat flour with p value of 0.001.

Application of Data Warehouse Technology Based on Neural Network in Physical Education Quality Management
  • Sep 28, 2022
  • Mathematical Problems in Engineering
  • Bo Zhao + 1 more

Data warehouse technology has been created because of China’s technological advancement and the increasing requirements of the educational sector. Physical assessments are treated as tests by many students. Institutions spend plenty of time every year through physical tests, yet the results are rarely shared with students. Teachers are impeded by the size and complexity of physical test data, finding it challenging to support experiments or judge individual students’ development. Students have trouble following up and delivering test-based feedback after instruction. In recent years, various researchers have offered insightful advice on how to build multidimensional database structures for such trouble. However, quality requirements alone are not adequate to guarantee quality in reality. So, this paper presents a novel Hypertuned wide polynet convolutional neural network (HWPCNN) framework in the data warehouse technology to attain the greatest performance in physical education quality management. In this paper, we first apply HWPCNNs for physical education quality management to analyze the accuracy and recall of the model. It is no secret that HWPCNN is now one of the most widely used deep learning techniques. When it comes to managing the quality of physical education, the HWPCNN’s local perception feature in the data warehouse technology allows it to achieve the best possible results. To validate the model’s performance, it is compared to other models and then improved further to increase its accuracy. The physical education resources are gathered as a raw dataset for this inquiry. The raw dataset is cleaned using the Z-score approach to get it ready for further data processing. Then, a sparse matrix approach is employed to build a data cube, while the proposed method is used to index multidimensional databases. To demonstrate that our work is of the best quality in managing physical education, performance metrics of the suggested method are also evaluated and compared with other traditional methods.

BACKGROUND:Loss of physical function during the process of aging might affect the quality of life. Physical function assessment tests predicts outcomes such as falls, institutionalization, and death. Studies assessing the association of physical function with quality of life and physical activity level of elderly population in India is scarce. Hence we aimed to assess the physical function of community dwelling older adults and to determine its association with physical activity levels and quality of life.MATERIALS AND METHODS:This was a cross-sectional analytical study. 89 community dwelling older adults between 60 and 80 years of age were recruited. Physical function was assessed by standing balance, walking speed, and grip strength. Quality of life was assessed by WHO QOL BREF questionnaire and physical activity level was assessed by International Physical activity Questionnaire.RESULTS:Standing balance was reduced in 24% and walking speed was decreased in 33% of the participants. Males had higher walking speed, and grip strength. Quality of life was better among males. Standing balance, walking speed and grip strength was significantly higher in moderate – heavy activity levels. There was positive correlation between physical function and quality of life. There was also positive correlation between physical activity level and quality of life.CONCLUSION:Physical function, quality of life and physical activity level were decreased. Males had better physical function and quality of life. Physically active individuals had better physical function and quality of life. Early detection of decreased physical function and increase in physical activity level could result in better quality of life among elderly.
