Abstract

The article considers the peculiarities of forming the loaded layer on the surface of the grinding disc during the processing of 45 steel in the non-hardened state. It is established that the loaded layer is formed in the cavity between the grains of the abrasive disc. The results of the spectral analysis of the loaded layer are obtained and it is found that its composition is made up of such elements as copper, carbon and silicon. The experimental investigations of the loaded layer micro-hardness are conducted. The results show a considerable strengthening of the loaded layer in comparison with the processed material.
