Abstract

ABSTRACT The article discusses the theoretical basis of choice of materials for the formation of permanent mechanical connections, pipeline components (fittings and pipes) by cold plastic deformation. To ensure the tightness of the choice of materials and dimensions of the contacting pairs is based on the elastic aftereffect of materials, elastic after-effect of pipe material must exceed the elastic aftereffect of the material of the fitting. Provides guidelines and examples of material selection – corrosion-resistant steel, aluminium and titanium alloys for production of permanent joints by various methods of plastic deformation.
