Abstract

Accurate measurements of the charge-exchange reaction K −p → K on between 1 and 3 GeV c have been used to analyse the direct-channel formation of hyperon resonances. An overall fit to the charge-exchange data and the K −p total cross sections has been obtained, from which a set of resonant parameters (mass, width, elasticity and spin) is presented for a total of 10 resonances lying between ∼ 1.8 and ∼ 2.6 GeV.
