Abstract
Climate change that has hit the world requires to make adaptation efforts so that agricultural productivity can be maintained. Alysicarpus vaginalis is one of the local variety forage that can grow in a various of environmental conditions. In this regard, a survey research has been carried out to study various types of local forages throughout Bali. The aim of the research is to obtain forages that have superior properties and can be developed in various regions in Bali. The survey sampling location refers to a map prepared specifically for that by overlaying a map of soil types, land use maps, and climate maps. Based on the results of the survey, several species of local forages that have superior characteristics have been found. One of them is Alysicarpus vaginalis plant as a forage superior, Alysicarpus vaginalis forage production as much as 46,302 kg DM ha-1 with 0.21% botanical composition.

Summary
Perubahan iklim yang telah melanda dunia mengharuskan aktivitas di bidang pertanian melakukan upaya adaptasi agar produktivitas pertanian dapat dipertahankan. Alysicarpus vaginalis adalah salah satu tumbuhan pakan lokal yang dapat tumbuh pada berbagai kondisi lingkungan. Terkait dengan hal tersebut sebuah riset survei telah dilaksanakan untuk mengkaji berbagai jenis tanaman pakan ternak (TPT) lokal di seluruh Bali. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendapatkan tanaman pakan yang memiliki sifat unggul dan dapat dikembangkan di berbagai wilayah di Bali. Lokasi sampling survei mengacu kepada peta yang disusun khusus untuk itu dengan meng-overlay peta jenis tanah, peta tata guna lahan, dan peta ikim. Berdasarkan hasil survei tersebut telah ditemukan beberapa spesies tumbuhan pakan ternak lokal yang memiliki ciri-ciri unggul. Salah satu diantaranya adalah tanaman Alysicarpus vaginalis sebagai TPT unggul, produksi hijauan A. Vaginalis sebanyak 46,302 kg DM ha-1 dengan komposisi botani 0,35% selain telah sesuai sifat-sifat di atas juga tanaman tersebut telah tersebar di seluruh Bali.
