Abstract

Follicular bronchiolitis (FB) is a non-neoplastic pulmonary lymphoid lesion characterized by hyperplasia of the bronchial-associated lymphoid tissue (BALT). It is thought to result from antigenic stimulation of BALT producing polyclonal lymphoid hyperplasia. It is known to be associated with collagen vascular diseases, immunodeficiency states, hypersensitivity, and airway-centred inflammatory conditions, such as bronchiectasis and infections.1
