Abstract
Abstract Soda-lime glass slide was chemically etched to achieve porous surface structure and a higher visible transmittance. The relative content of the grafted 1H, 1H, 2H, 2H-Perfluorooctyltrimethoxysilane (POTS) on the etched glass surface reached 11.6%. Comparatively, it was only 0.63% for the unetched glass. After being grafted with POTS, the unetched glass surface had a water contact angle of 107°. However, it was increased to 151.5° on the surface of the etched glass. Moreover, the visible transmittance of the etched glass was increased to 97.1% from 90.1%.
