Abstract

We proposed a flexible and dynamically tunable spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) waveguide attenuator loaded with flexible graphene sheets. In this attenuator, a piece of graphene sandwich structure is deposited on the SSPPs waveguide to dissipate the electromagnetic field in the slot of SSPPs waveguide. We experimentally demonstrate that attenuation of the proposed attenuator can be dynamically tuned with low return loss from 2 to 4 GHz under flat, bend with 90° and twist conditions when graphene impedance is changed, which paves a way to develop flexible and tunable plasmonic integrated devices in the microwave frequencies.
