Abstract
The Fischer–Tropsch synthesis by cobalt catalyst supported on UiO-66 has been evaluated. The prepared UiO-66 support and cobalt-containing catalyst were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TGA, TPR, oxygen titration, nitrogen adsorption–desorption, and TEM. The catalytic performance was evaluated in Fischer–Tropsch synthesis and compared with conventional porous zirconium-promoted Co/SBA-15 catalyst. The Co@UiO-66 catalyst shows higher reducibility of the cobalt due to higher interaction between cobalt and zirconium atoms and lower interaction between cobalt and support in UiO-66 MOF. The Fischer–Tropsch activity of the prepared Co@UiO-66 catalyst is higher than Co/Zr/SBA-15, and the selectivity to methane and long-chain hydrocarbons are lower than the reference catalyst.
