Abstract
ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping early-career researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Shouying Xu is the first author on ‘Rab34 small GTPase is required for Hedgehog signaling and an early step of ciliary vesicle formation in mouse’, published in Journal of Cell Science. Shouying is a Research Scholar in the lab of Baolin Wang at Weill Medical College, Cornell University, New York, USA, investigating how primary cilia are assembled and how ciliogenesis regulates Hedgehog signaling.
