Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper investigates the finite-time performance control of a class of switched nonlinear systems with input quantisation, where the control input is quantised by a class of sector-bounded quantizers. By introducing a barrier Lyapunov function and a hyperbolic tangent function, a control scheme is proposed to achieve the practical finite-time stability with prescribed performance, and a new compensation is constructed for the effects of quantisation error. Furthermore, the proposed result is extended to the case that the quantisation parameters are unknown, and adaptive laws are proposed which do not require the knowledge on the bounds of these unknown parameters. A simulation example is provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
