Abstract

This article is focused on buckling characteristics of fully profiled sandwich structure based on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate and thicker Multi wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) which are bonded together using separate adhesives, Therefore this research article represents a new design and 3-D finite element analysis. Debonding mechanism for different MWCNTs layer number at a constant normal compressive load was studied and analyzed .The Rayleigh-Ritz and finite element analysis by Comsol Multi- physics software are used to predict the critical buckling load for various layer thicknesses of MWCNTs .The finite element calculation shows that a thinner [MWCNTs/PET] is more stable.
