Abstract
Highly accurate numerical simulations of a magnetic droplet on a rotating Hele–Shaw cell are presented. Under a perpendicular magnetic field, the centrifugally induced fingerings are enhanced, while the azimuthal field tends to damp the instabilities. The influences of these two magnetic fields are also demonstrated quantitatively, which confirm the opposite effects to the interfacial fingerings.
