Abstract

Chloroplast and nuclear DNAs from higher plants of 6 species belonging to different classes and orders were investigated by high resolution thermal melting. All of the chloroplast DNAs (cpDNAs) showed considerable intra-molecular heterogeneity. In most plants 8 thermal components were detected. In contrast to the corresponding nuclear genomes, cpDNAs of different plants demonstrated similar melting properties.
