Abstract
We have estimated the transverse muon polarization due to the final-state Coulomb interaction for the quasi-elastic process: ν (or\(\bar \nu \) + nuclei → μ +N + nucleus, using a single-particle model for the nucleus. Maximum effects of few percents are obtained for small muon energy and far from the quasi-elastic peak. So the final-state Coulomb interaction can be neglected and the measurement of transverse muon polarization is a valid test of time reversal invariance.
