Abstract

In the first update to the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) in nearly 10 years, the federal government on Sept. 9 enacted final federal rules to ensure that people with mental health and substance use disorders (SUDs) receive similar insurance coverage for their care as they would for physical health conditions.
