Abstract
The nineteenth of May is a major holiday for Soviet children: the anniversary of the V.I. Lenin All-Union Young Pioneer Organization. For already a half-century, the organization of young Leninists — faithful helpers of the Komsomol [Communist Youth League] and the Party — has lived, grown, and strengthened in our nation. Millions of workers, collective farmers, and representatives of the intelligentsia received their first schooling in civic duties and were first imbued with communist convictions in the Pioneer organization.
