На основі Директиви 2011/65/ЕС в Україні вже розроблений проект нового Технічного регламенту щодо обмеження використання деяких небезпечних речовин в електричному та електронному обладнанні, який замінить діючий Технічний Регламент, затверджений постановою КМУ від 3 грудня 2008 No1057
