Abstract

The article discusses the features of development and promising directions in the economy of the agro-industrial complex. Currently, the agro-industrial complex (AIC) is a combination of several branches of the national economic system, which are aimed at production or processing of raw materials of agricultural origin, as well as obtaining of various types of products from it. The noted set of segments of the economy includes: agriculture itself, represented in a wide variety of industries that provide processing of raw materials, supply farmers with equipment, necessary fertilizers and other resources of industrial origin, as well as transport and logistics enterprises responsible for supplying agricultural products to consumers. The indicators of the effective use of state support for the economy of the agro-industrial complex, as well as ensuring the profitability of all branches of agricultural production, have been studied.
