Abstract

The authors report that diiron nona-carbonyl in combination with triphenylphosphine proved to be an efficient system for the allylation of zinc enolates generated in situ from copper-catalyzed asymmetric conjugate addition reactions. Enantiomerically enriched carbocyclic ketones can be obtained in modest to good yields with high trans/cis ratios.
