Abstract

We show the existence of positive minimal energy solutions for the equation −div(K(x)∇u)=K(x)f(u) in R2, where K(x)=exp(|x|2∕4) and f:R→R is a superlinear continuous function with exponential subcritical or exponential critical growth. We use as a main tool the Nehari manifold method.
