Abstract

AbstractFor the first time complete data are given on far‐infrared reflectivity spectra of an ammonium dihydrogen phosphate single crystal in the temperature range 7 to 300 K, over the spectral region 15 to 400 cm−1, and for all crystallographic orientations of the crystal, in the para‐ and antiferroelectric phase. This study shows that although the crystal shatters when cooling through the phase transition, it preserves its crystallographic properties.
