Abstract

The changes of the U-center absorption, which occur on converting U to F-centers, were measured at L. He. T. in the range of 10–93 cm -1. A new sharp peak at 83 cm -1 in the phonon gap of KI can be attributed to F-centers. F'-centers possess a resonant mode at 68.5 cm -1.
