Abstract

The aim of this paper was to analyse the causal relationships among fan curiosity impact towards attachment and allegiance within the model of psychological continuum model (PCM). The theoretical causal model is integrated by the scale known as sport fan exploratory curiosity scale (SFECS). Then, exploratory curiosity will lead to attachment and allegiance against football fans. Some hypotheses are put forward and tested in a causal-comparative study of 382 football fans who attending matches at National Stadium Bukit Jalil. The data were tested by structural equation modelling (SEM). The results reveal that the attachment was mediator variables to the exploratory curiosity and allegiance. The findings further offer important insights for the future research and sport practices especially focused on football development industry.
