Abstract
Mono- and bis-N-sulfamoylamidines have been efficiently synthesized by the direct condensation of sulfamides and amides in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride via electrophilic activation. The scope of this reaction is discussed, and detailed synthetic studies show that the desired products are generated in high yields under mild conditions.
