Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of extracapsular cataract extration by small-incision non-phacoemulsification after glaucomatous filtering surgery. Methods The operationss were performed on 76 eyes with a precxisting filtration bleb, in which at the temporal scleral incision was selected and follow-up for 3~15 months. Results The postoperative visual acuity of all patients improved in different degrees with. 0. 2 in 60. 5%, and postoperative lop was (2. 03±0. 50 Kpa). The functional filtering bleb was not apparently cica-triced. Conclusion For the filtered glaucoma eyes with cataract, through temporal small-incision cataract ex-traction and intraocular lens implantation can be used to avoid disturbing the filtering bleb with little postopera-tive reactions, vision is improved and the IOP control is not affacted, the operation is safe and reliable.
