Abstract
Objective To detect the expressions of inteferon-γ receptor (IFN-γR) in neuroblastoma tissue and investigate their correlation to prognosis. Methods The expressions of IFN-γ R in neuroblastoma tissues were detected with SABC immunohistochemisty staining. The expressions of IFN-γR and interferon-γ(IFN-γ) were detected with reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).The correlation among IFN-γR expressions in tumor tissue and their clinical stage, histological type, survival rate and the IFN-γexpressions were analyzed. Results The expressions of IFN-γR in tumor tissues without metastasis were higher than those with metastasis (P<0.05).The expressions of IFN-γ R in favorable histological types were higher than those in favorable ones (P<0.05).Patients with high IFN-γR expressions had higher survival rate (P<0.05).The expressions of IFN-γR mRNA positively correlated with IFN-γ (r =-0.791,P<0.05).Conclusions The up-regulated expression of IFN-γR suggested a low metastasis capacity and a favorable histological type in neuroblastoma and a better survival rate of patients. Therefore,it can be served as an potential marker candidates in biological evaluation of metastasis and prognosis in patient suffering from neuroblastoma. The potential mechanism may collate to IFN-γ function.
