Abstract

The etiology of endometriosis is not well understood, although chemokines and their receptors have been shown to play a role in its pathogenesis. Chemokines exert their effect by binding to their membrane receptors, the expression levels of which may modulate their action. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the expression and localization of IL-8 receptors CXCR1 and CXCR2 in eutopic and ectopic endometrial tissues of women with endometriosis and endometrial tissues of women without endometriosis, and to compare these expressions between these groups.
