Abstract

Incorporating multimedia into Web documents is a direct and efficient means of conveying knowledge and is exemplified by the Web-based synchronized multimedia lecture project, which is designed for English and Chinese language self-learning. The project captures content from instructors' lectures - and, if appropriate, daily news broadcasts - then correlates and transforms it into an integrated Web presentation available anytime, anywhere for self-learning
