In the era of artificial intelligence, mastering basic teaching skills has become increasingly essential for educators, including Arabic language teachers. One of the key competencies is the ability to implement varied instructional strategies to create effective and engaging learning experiences. This study aims to describe the basic teaching skills of Arabic language teachers at Integrated Islamic Private Elementary School 117 Adnani Panyabungan within the context of digital transformation. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, collecting data from Arabic language teachers at the school. The findings reveal that teachers applied several forms of instructional variation: (1) variations in teaching methods to maintain students' attention and motivation; (2) variations in the use of media and teaching aids to enhance learning interaction; and (3) variations in interaction patterns and student activities to accommodate diverse learning styles. These findings indicate that the teachers’ basic teaching skills align with theoretical pedagogical standards, enabling them to meet the demands of education in the AI era.

Teaching and learning interactions teachers often experience obstacles in carrying out their functions. Therefore, it is necessary to have a holistic approach as a continuous effort to improve the quality of the teaching profession, because the quality and professionalism of teachers can reflect the quality of education and teaching itself, the quality of teachers as an illustration of abilities and skills in carrying out their professional duties. Basic teaching skills for teachers can lead to the success of the education and teaching process, both for teachers and students in teaching and learning activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of basic teaching skills for Muhammadiyah Soni Middle School teachers and to find out the forms of applying basic teaching skills for Muhammadiyah Soni Middle School teachers. The research method used is a qualitative approach by describing and interpreting the meaning of data about the application of basic teaching skills, then to obtain data in accordance with the problem, data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation, then the source of data is obtained from the informant consisting of the head schools and teachers selected as informants or resource persons. The results showed that the application of basic teaching skills in SMP Muhammadiyah Soni had been well implemented. Furthermore, the forms of applying the basic teaching skills that teachers do are basic skills using teaching methods including lecture methods, question and answer methods, discussion methods, and recitation or assignment methods.

Teacher Basic Skills in Learning Science in Junior High Schools Facing the 21st Century

This study aims to determine the level of teacher skills in science learning in junior high schools facing the 21st century, especially the basic teaching skills of teachers. The research examined consisted of two types of data, namely qualitative and quantitative from the eight basic skills of teachers. The qualitative and quantitative data were interpreted and obtained information from the group discussion forums. The results show that the level of basic teaching skills for science teachers in Mataram City Junior High School is 33.4% very good, 60% in a good position, 6.6% at a sufficient level. Meanwhile, of the eight basic teaching skills of science teachers, the skills to open lessons and various teaching skills for junior high school science teachers in Mataram have very good skills, while explaining skills are still lacking, and basic teaching skills in very good categories are found in junior high school science teachers who are senior or already occupying a position. Coach level IV/a and above.

Multimedia for Teaching Skills Development in Pre-service Teachers

A teacher must have teaching skills in order to become a professional teacher. The purpose of this article is to present the results of research on the development of teaching skills multimedia for microteaching courses in the Biology Education Study Program, FMIPA, State University of Jakarta. Multimedia is designed by combining text, images, audio and video to present basic teaching skills material in an interactive and interesting way. This research consisted of two years, in the first year four basic multimedia teaching skills were developed, namely: opening and closing lesson skills, class management skills and basic questioning skills and advanced questioning skills. This research is research and development (RnD) which was adapted into 7 stages from 10 steps of development research by Gall, Gall and Borg, including 1) research and data collection, 2) planning, 3) making prototypes, 4) testing first prototype, 5) prototype improvements, 6) field trials, 7) product improvements. The multimedia products developed are evaluated and assessed by experts, then revised based on the suggestions given and the results of field trials. The results of the research show that the multimedia developed is valid, practical and effective for improving teaching skills of pre-service teachers. Through this article the author wants to suggest that PKM or microteaching lecturers can use multimedia to practice basic teaching skills.

Analysis of Prospective Mathematics Teachers’ Basic Teaching Skills (a Study of Mathematics Education Departement Students’ Field Experience Program at STKIP Garut)

This study was intended to figure out basic teaching skills of Mathematics Department Students of STKIP Garut at Field Experience Program in academic year 2014/2015. This study was qualitative research with analysis descriptive technique. Instrument used in this study was observation sheet to measure basic teaching mathematics skills. The result showed that ability of content mastery and explaining skill were in average category. Questioning skill, conducting variations skill and conducting assessment skill were in good category. Managing classroom skill and giving motivation skill were in poor category. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the students’ basic teaching skills weren’t optimal. It is recommended for the collegians to get lesson with appropriate strategy so that they can optimize their basic teaching skills.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using microteaching books based on case method and team based project on basic teaching and communication skills. The type of research is development to produce a product and test the effectiveness of that product. The population is all 5th semester students of the biology education study program, FMIPA Unimed who take the microteaching course, the test sample is 30 students. The research design uses the Plomp development model, namely Analysis, Development, and Evaluation. Data collection is carried out at the analysis stage, then the development stage includes the distribution of assessment sheets to experts and response sheets to lecturers and students in the microteaching course. Meanwhile, the evaluation stage is carried out using observation sheets to assess basic teaching skills and communication skills. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and then categorized following the guidelines for categorizing needs, assessments, responses and communication skills. The results obtained indicate that the microteaching book is declared valid, has a fairly good level of practicality, and is effective in improving basic teaching skills and communication skills

Pre-service teachers must have a good basic teaching skills that are opening lesson, use of learning model, use of learning media, mastery of teaching materials, submission of teaching materials, class management, and closes lesson ability. Basic teaching skills influenced by learning material design and communicating skill. Improving pre-service’s basic teaching skill can’t did only by an effective learning model, but a collaborative model that can called multimodel learning. From the study known that pre-service teacher have a good score of learning design and teaching skills.

Tadaluring Microteaching: An Effective Learning Model to Develop Basic Teaching Skills

This study explored the effect of using a Tadaluring microteaching learning model on mastering a number of basic teaching skills by prospective teachers. The Tadaluring microteaching learning model is a learning model which combines three forms of integrated training namely classroom practices, online practices, and offline practices. This study was classified as a quasi-experimental study with a non equivalent control group design. The sample was selected with a purpose-sampling technique. The data were analyzed using a t-test method. The results of the study were: (1) there is a significant effect of using a Tadaluring microteaching learning model on prospective teachers' basic teaching skills, (2) the average ability to master basic teaching skills of prospective teachers using the Tadaluring model was higher than 80 with a very effective interpretation used in microteaching learning.

Keterampilan mengajar merupakan salah satu keterampilan dasar yang harus dikuasai oleh seorang guru. Oleh karenanya, mahasiswa calon guru perlu terus menerus melatih diri untuk mengembangkan keterampilan mengajarnya. Salah satu cara yang diusahakan adalah melalui pengajaran mikro pada mata kuliah PSAP (Perencanaan, Strategi, Asesmen, Pembelajaran) Matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi dari kemampuan akademik dan pedagogik mahasiswa calon guru terhadap keterampilan dasar mengajar mereka dalam pengajaran mikro. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 56 mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pelita Harapan angkatan 2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data meliputi rubrik pengajaran mikro, arsip nilai mahasiswa, dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara kemampuan akademik dan keterampilan dasar mengajar; (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari kemampuan akademik terhadap keterampilan dasar mengajar; (3) terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara kemampuan pedagogik dan keterampilan dasar mengajar; serta (4) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari kemampuan pedagogik terhadap keterampilan dasar mengajar. Ini berarti, mata kuliah pedagogi dan konten dasar matematika yang diberikan sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa.

Improving Basic Teaching Skills of Students by Implementation of Lesson Study-Based Demonstration Method

Basic teaching skills is an important skill to support the pedagogical competency of teacher. Student of education program have to mastery the basic teaching skills due to preparation as a teacher. This study is a classroom action research, which aims to implement lesson study-based demonstration method as an effort to improve Biology Education student’s basic teaching skills. Subject of this study is students of Education Biology Program Offering A year 2017/2018 of Universitas Negeri Malang (n=15). This study conducted in two cycles and consisted of eleven basic teaching skills. Data were collected by using basic teaching skills observation sheet, consist of basic teaching skills indicators. This instrument is given to six observers. Data of average score were analyzed descriptively to compare the result of cycle I to cycle II. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of lesson study-based demonstration method improve Biology Education student’s basic teaching skills, especially skilled in free-discussion teaching (average score is 90.5).

Penguasaan Keterampilan Dasar Mengajar Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab di Universitas Negeri Jakarta

This study aims to get a clear description of the basic teaching skills for students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The research method used in this study is a mixed-method which is a combination of quantitative research methods and qualitative research methods. The research location is in one of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta classrooms and the research subjects consisted of 45 students class of 2016 in the Arabic Language Education Study Program who took Micro Teaching course. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation instruments. The percentage of the highest to lowest average scores in basic teaching skills mastered by students on the exam, small groups and individuals, with a value of 89.42% in the very good category, and skills of reinforcement obtained an average value of 85.00% with enough category. With this research, researchers gain an understanding of basic teaching skills as well as data related to teaching skills in the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. This research also can be used as a guideline for other researchers regarding basic teaching skills.

Effective Implementation of Teaching Skills and Religious Activities to Enhance the Quality of Learning In Islamic Religious Education at MTsN 2 Surabaya

The quality of Islamic Religious Education teaching is influenced by the understanding and application of Islamic teachings in everyday life. For this reason, this study aims to analyse the influence of teachers' basic teaching skills and students' religious practices on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes at State Tsanawiyah Madrasah 2 Surabaya City. Islamic Religious Education plays an important role in shaping students' character and morals, so that the quality of Islamic Religious Education teaching is a crucial factor in achieving the goals of religious education. The factors studied include teachers' basic teaching skills and students' religious practices. This research used a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 class VII students. Data was collected through questionnaires and regression analysis was used to assess the influence of independent variables on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes. Research findings show that teachers' basic teaching skills and students' religious practices partially and simultaneously have a positive effect on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes. These results indicate that teachers' basic teaching skills which involve the ability to convey material clearly, mastery of teaching methods, and adaptability to students' needs have a positive impact on students' understanding of religious teachings. In addition, students' religious practices from religious activities, such as prayer, reading the Koran, and other religious practices, contribute positively to Islamic religious education learning outcomes

STUDENT SATISFACTION IN ONLINE LEARNING TOWARDS LEARNING OUTCOMES IN BASIC TEACHING ABILITY COURSES

This study aims to determine, 1) The relationship between student satisfaction in online learning and student learning outcomes in basic teaching skills courses, 2) the effect of student satisfaction in online learning on student learning outcomes in basic teaching skills courses, odd semester of the academic year 2021/ 2022. This research was conducted in October - November 2021. The subjects in this study were all students who contracted 27 students' basic teaching skills courses and the objects of research were student satisfaction and student learning outcomes. The instruments used are questionnaires and tests. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson correlation test with a significance level of 0.05 and a regression test which resulted in conclusions as a result of the study. To find out whether or not there is a relationship and influence of each variable, the research data is processed using SPPS version 16. The results show that, there is a significant relationship between student satisfaction in online learning and student learning outcomes in the basic teaching ability subject in the medium category, and there is an effect of student satisfaction on online learning on student learning outcomes in the basic teaching ability course, by contributing 24.5%.

The correlation between communication skill and basic teaching skill of prospective biology teachers

This study aims to determine the correlation between communication skills and basic teaching skills of biology education students as prospective biology teachers at the State University of Medan. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with correlational data analysis, with a sample of 30 students. Data collection using observation techniques. Data analysis in the form of linearity tests and Pearson product-moment correlation tests. Data on communication skills and basic teaching skills are normally distributed and have a linear correlation. However, after the correlation test was carried out, the significance. (2-tailed) The value was obtained between communication skills and basic teaching skills of 0.063> 0.05, which means that there is no significant correlation between communication skills and basic teaching skills. Meanwhile, based on the calculated r (Pearson Correlation) of 0.344, the strength of the correlation is that there is a low correlation between communication skills and basic teaching skills. So it can be concluded that communication skills and basic teaching skills have a low correlation.

This paper discusses a study that takes a closer look at how educators carry out the teaching and learning process using curriculum development and basic education evaluation systems that have been implemented properly. Basic teaching skills are important for teachers to know and implement. It is related to the effectiveness of the teacher in the teaching and learning process carried out in learning. The purpose of the research is to describe how basic teacher-teaching skills are implemented at SD GP Kumelembaai. The research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research data and findings come from the value of skills that form the basic education of grade 1, 2, and 3 teachers at SD GP Kumelembai. The data collected are data about the basic teaching skills of teachers through the stages of observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research findings and basic teaching skills, teachers in remote areas, especially at SD GP Kumelembai, are not yet skilled in applying basic teaching skills in learning, such as opening and closing lessons, asking questions, explaining, guiding small group discussions, teaching individually, managing classes, providing reinforcement, and providing variety.

Tingkat Keterampilan Dasar Mengajar Calon Guru Sekolah Dasar Pada Perkuliahan Mikroteaching

This research is a descriptive qualitative research purposes to identify the level of basic teaching skills of the prospective primary school teachers through microteaching subject and to find out the problems of basic skills mastery of the prospective primary school teachers in STKIP Muhamamdiyah Bangka Belitung. There are 5 basic skills assesed, include: 1) asking skills, 2) strengthening skills, 3) providing variaton skills, 4) explaining lesson skills, 5) opening and closing skills. The subject of this research is 42 college students in fifth semester who took microteaching subjects in academic year of 2018/2019 as sample. This research was conducted for 6 months and the research instruments were in the form of observation sheets and interviews. The identification results of basic teaching skills showed that 1) mean score of asking skills is 80.36, categorized as excellent, 2) mean score of strengthening skills is 84.23, categorized as excellent, 3) mean score of giving variaton skills is 77.20, categorized as excellent, 4) mean score of explaining lesson skills is 75.51, categorized as good, 5) mean score of opening and closing skill is 77.45, categorized as excellent. While, the problems that is faced to the prospective primary school teacher on mastering the basic teaching skills are feeling nervous, thoughtless materials, the teaching process is not based on lesson plan set, and students lack of practice.
