Expert group decision-making in corporate identity restyling
Although the scientific event organization in Ukraine in 2022 as a reality has guidance on how to perform when the rocket strike alarm, the CSIT organizing committee does its best to support our scientists at risk. To draw even more attention, the conference organization committee took an opportunity to improve the overall style of the conference. First, we began by identifying a set of tools for organizing and supporting the conference, which are or can be carriers of the visual components of the corporate style of the conference. From them, relevant corporate identity attributes were selected for the conference taking place in online mode. Among the developed series of the visual components of the conference, identity elements were chosen that will determine the general stylistics. The difficulty in deciding on corporate identity attributes is many experts, i.e., participants of the organizational and program committees of the conference, which led to the use of a group expert approach.

Corporate identity is a personality of a company which is designed to be in line with the company's achievements and tailored to its goals. The theoretical part defines the concept of corporate identity, its elements and the factors affecting it, the relationship between corporate identity and the client. The empirical part deals with the analysis of the corporate identity of banks in Montenegro. The subject of the conducted explorative quantitative study is to determine how users of banking services evaluate the basic elements of corporate identity of banks. The aim of the research is to determine whether the elements of corporate identity are in line with the expectations of users of banking services, and whether the basic elements of corporate identity influence the choice of the bank and the loyalty of clients. The corporate identity of banks is important, but is not a crucial factor in choosing a bank by clients in Montenegro. Besides the well-designed elements of corporate identity, the fair price and a high quality product and service that the bank efficiently delivers to the client is also a necessary precondition for successful retention of existing clients, as well as for attracting new ones.

The Russian open scientific conference “Modern problems of remote sensing, radar, wave propagation and diffraction” (MPRSRWPD) 2021 took place in the Russian Federation in the city of Murom on May 25-27, 2021.The conference has been held at the Murom Institute of Vladimir State University since 1991. The organizers of the Conference MPRSRWPD 2021 are the Russian Academy of Sciences, diverse scientific organizations and a number of leading universities of Russia.Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic limited the travel of scientists and personal participation in the conference. Under these conditions, the Organizing Committee decided to hold MPRSRWPD 2021 completely online with remote meeting control from the Murom Institute.Such a decision required a different organization of the conference itself, the need for more precise compliance with the schedule for presentations, taking into account the differences between the time zones in which the speakers were located. Thanks to the efficient work of the Organizing Committee, these difficulties were successfully overcome.Of course, this format of the conference significantly narrowed the opportunities for personal communication of participants, practically eliminating discussions during breaks and after the end of meetings, which has always been an indispensable attribute of this conference. Nevertheless, the discussion of the reports took place, and at the end of the meetings, a general discussion took place in the format of a “round table”.Sixty two reports on the issues of wave propagation and diffraction, remote sensing, methodological and instrumental issues of sounding, and measurement accuracy were presented at the conference. Thirty four papers of them were recommended by the Program and Organizing Committees for publication in the JPCS collection. Twenty eight articles based on the results of peer review met the standards of IOP Publishing. The Organizing Committee expresses its gratitude to everyone who, at this difficult time, managed to find opportunities to participate in the conference, to everyone the organization of the work of the meetings depended on, and especially to our esteemed experts-I. Nasyrov, PhD, Associate Professor, A. Padokhin, PhD, Associate Professor, V. Pozhidaev, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Chief Researcher, B. Sedunov, PhD, Associate Professor, and I. Yusupov, PhD, Associate Professor, whose high qualifications ensured the compliance of the scientific level of the submitted articles with the requirements of IOP Publishing. We express our sincere regret that Yuri Ya. Ruzhin, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor, Chief Researcher, recipient of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, Member of the National Geophysical Committee, one of the active organizers of our conferences for many years, passed away during the preparation of the Conference. We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and colleagues. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Committees, Organizing Committee, Executive editor, are available in the pdf

The development of modern ecology has received its greatest impetus in a few localities where there are physiographic con ditions giving diversity of habitats in which environmental dynamics are apparent. While primarily concerned with the physiological relations of organisms to environment, and while tending to become to a marked degree an experimental science, the workers in the field have thus far derived, and probably always will derive, their inspiration from the dynamic relations of organisms to their environment?; from the diurnal, seasonal and secular changes in the environments of single species or of communities of species. Still, many investigators with interest in ecology and some actually working in the field, have not had an opportunity to see some of the most significant localities in which ecological field study has been conducted and thus are much handicapped in their understanding of the published ac counts, and in relating them to their less diagrammatic situations. The facts, the methods and terms of the different investigators in the field of this new science are accordingly not clearly ap preciated in a comparative and comprehensive way by the in vestigators themselves. It is not possible to carry demonstrations of these difficult natural phenomena to the places of meeting of the national societies, as many other materials are carried and dispLrped as demonstrations. Thus the Ecological Society of America has grown out of an attempt to accomplish what may be termed a display of the localities which have served to inspire workers in ecological lines. The various ecological investigators have developed methods for the study of environment and for the study of response to environment. These workers fall into two groups?botanists and zoologists?separated by the present-day organization of science but with much common ground which demands fusion. Methods and terois are not standardized, indeed nature does not bear close standardization, but much is to be gained by a thorough under standing. The diversity of interest in climatological work is illustrated by the topics of the various members of the Society's committee dealing with this one phase of modern ecological in terest. In all the meetings, correspondence and conversations with members of the executive committee and the organizing com 1

PurposeHow organizations view, value and manage their place architecture in relation to identification and corporate identity has received little research attention. The main goal of this paper is to provide an integrative understanding of the relationships between corporate identity, place architecture, and identification from a multi-disciplinary approach. It is assumed that the characteristics of the organization and of the way a corporate identity and place architecture are managed will affect employees’ and consumers’ identification.Design/methodology/approachThe paper uses a theory-building case study within the phenomenological/qualitative research tradition. The data were gathered through 15 in-depth interviews with top management who were working at a London-Based Business School. In addition, six focus groups were conducted with a total of 36 academics, and new empirical insights are offered. NVivo software was used to gain insight into the various influences and relationships.FindingsDrawing on one case study, the findings confirm that firms are using the conceptualizations of corporate identity and place architecture, including the leveraging of tangible and intangible forms of consumers’/employees’ identification, toward a university business school. The insights from a single, exploratory, case study might not be generalizable.Originality/valueThe relationships between corporate identity, place architecture and identification have received little research attention and have hardly been studied at all from the perspective of this paper. This paper has value to researchers in the fields of marketing, corporate identity, place architecture, design, as well as professionals involved in managing a company’s architecture. Drawing on the marketing/management theory of identity and architecture alignment, managers and policy advisors should devote attention to each element of the corporate identity and place architecture and ensure that they are meaningful, as well as in dynamic alignment.

In today’s competitive business environment, corporate identity communication has become prominent and a useful strategy for gaining competitive advantage. The role of corporate websites in communicating corporate identity has also been underscored but there have been limited empirical studies investigating the actual usage of corporate websites in communicating corporate identities of hotels. To contribute to this scarce stream of research, this study identified the core elements of corporate identity from the literature and applied them to evaluate the websites’ content of 123 hotels in Hong Kong. The results indicated that, corporate identity elements relating to design such as logo and slogan were the commonly reported; but identity elements regarding corporate culture, corporate behaviour and corporate strategy were scarcely communicated by more than 60 % of the hotels. Significant differences were also found between chain-affiliated hotels and independent hotels. From a practical standpoint, these results can be used to enrich the contents of corporate websites.

The present article defines corporate identity as a management tool for achieving strategic competitive advantage. The multidisciplinary approach considers that all elements of enterprise identity, in terms of design, brand management and organizational identity, are aimed at giving the company its own unique style, used to support its competitiveness and market position. The authors determine corporate identity as both the integral part of the strategy and the matter that forms and defines it at the same time. Corporate identity and strategy are interrelated concepts, where identity can introduce, suspend, or simplify strategy, and strategy can strengthen or express identity. Identity can be defined as one of the unique characteristics of the organization, which is manifested through behaviour and communication, as well as through the symbolic, aimed at internal and external stakeholders of the company. The article considers the peculiarities of defining the concept of corporate identity and classification of its types. It presents the critical analysis of the academic works on the interpretation of the relationship between corporate identity and strategy, identifies the term “identity” in the context of strategic management, studies their contradictions in the conceptual and categorical apparatus, and determines existing classifications of types of corporate identity and the method of their analysis. In order to achieve the maximum result of the analysis of corporate identity, the authors propose not only to follow the multidisciplinary approach, but also to consider the relationship between the elements of the structural classification of identity types, taking into account their comparison. The structural approach to corporate identity classification and analysis allows to diagnose each of the types of identity and analyse the dissonance between them in order to improve the strategy of the enterprise.
