Abstract

Encouraging experimental results have been obtained from a two-way load management system for large commercial as well as governmental customers on the Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCo) system. This paper presents these results and describes the inovative two-way load management system that was developed and installed to achieve them. The Robinton Products, Inc. system operates from a central processor located in PEPCO's control center and it communicates with the customer locations through a telephone system called ``Select-A-Station''. Future plans for the expansion of the system are presented along with experimental results.
