Abstract

1. The thickness of the film remaining on the internal wall of a capillary is proportional to the radius in a wide range of the latter. 2. The thickness of the film remaining on the internal surface of a horizontal capillary can be calculated from Deryagin's formula (2) for values ofν(v/σ) up to 0.06. 3. Forν(v/σ) > 0.06 the film thickness is less than the value calculated from formula (2). The difference increases with increase in the parameterν(v/σ).
