Abstract
A new procedure for measuring internal conversion coefficients is pointed out, based on the replacement of a magnetic spectrometer by a solid state detector. The particular measurement of the total conversion coefficient for the 0.265 MeV transition in Mo 93m is described. The results is in agreement with the theoretical value calculated by Rose. The accuracy of the method is stated to be comparable to that obtained by means of electron-gamma coincidences with magnetic spectrometers. The result quoted for the total conversion coefficient of the 0.265 MeV transition in Mo 93m is α T = 0.72 ± 0.05.
