Abstract

Astrakhan oblast is characterized by a great natural variety and a natural-resource potential that is complex in its component and territorial structure and specific conditions of its operation. The cartographical representation of information is among the most fundamental of the geographical sciences. Representing nature-use conflicts in maps makes it possible to visually control the development of undesirable situations both in local areas and in administrative divisions as a whole. In this paper, several types of nature-use conflict are distinguished, and their cartographical representation is given, providing a visual concept of the impact of one or another type of nature use on the state of the environment in Astrakhan oblast.
