Abstract

This article approaches a portion of the methodological process used in the main steps to elaborate and produce the digital tridimensional immersive space: Ex-Paco. The project, which was conceived when the new seat of Paco das Artes Museum was inaugurated in Sao Paulo, proposes, among other subjects, an immersive experience that approximates the user to the disorientation and nomadism feeling of the constant relocations in the museum seat. Four buildings that had a crucial role in the history of Paco das Artes were highlighted in such project: the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Sao Paulo State; the Image and Sound Museum (which housed Paco das Artes during two important periods); the seat located at the University of Sao Paulo University Campus; and the current seat, a manor located at Higienopolis district. Such relocations have given certain nomadism aspect to Paco das Artes, which is important to attribute detachment and uneasiness aspects to its trajectory.
