Abstract

Excitations from the excited 3B 1 state of NO - 2 - and AsO - 2 -centers in different alkali halides have been studied over a wide spectral range (270–930 nm). The 3B 1 state is excited by a strong excimer laser pulse; excitations from this level are investigated by transmission measurements using a weak cw probe beam. An assignment of the observed triplet-triplet transitions is proposed.
