Abstract

To achieve the sustainable development and emission reduction, the integration capacity of renewable energy generation in China is increasing quickly. The rapid growth increases the penetration rate and brings concerns in power system planning and operation. This paper evaluates the renewable energy accommodation capacity focusing on the large-scale off-shore wind power integration. The proposed method takes the peak regulation ability and the static security constraints into account comprehensively. The analysis and estimation of a practical regional power grid in China verifies the feasibility of the proposed method.
