Abstract

Libraries are becoming more involved in the complex task of managing the digital assets created by members of their institutions. Many tools have been created to help librarians understand and solve the problems associated with this task. One of these tools is the Joint Information Systems Committee's Assessing Institutional Digital Assets (AIDA) toolkit, which is designed to help institutions assess their current readiness and ability to manage digital assets. This article provides a review and evaluation of the AIDA toolkit as used by Los Alamos National Laboratory Research Library.
