Abstract

This paper describes the experimental procedure to validate the dual Transverse Electromagnetic (TEM) cell for the evaluation of shielding effectiveness (SE) of materials. The dual TEM cell technique allows one to simultaneously measure both the electric and magnetic field SE of a test sample placed in a small aperture in the common wall of the dual TEM cell. The electric and magnetic field polarizabilities and SE of two different sample materials were measured as a function of frequency. The measured data were compared with the theoretical values. >
